My recent buying experience went pretty well. My salesman Anthony Warren was most helpful and answered all of my questions, he was actually very knowledgeable about the truck. After some haggling with the sales manager, we agreed on a price. On to the finance manager Philip. Philip forever the salesman, he should be in sales and not finance. Oh, my goodness, of all the maintenance plans, this is a very aggressive tactic and just a money grab! And then the VIN etching scam, I paid $299 for four tiny stickers in the doors! Where’s the etching? There goes mama’s anniversary dinner. What a waste of money and despite saying I did not want it. Let’s just say, never again Philip! Philip, read my lips, never again!

Happy the work is done, but not a great experience. First off, i scheduled my appt on line, someone called at some point before and asked my to switch my service advisor to Robert because he had previously been my advisor.. didn't matter to me so i said sure. I get there Thursday to drop off my car. 4 people sitting at the desk and my advisor is busy with someone else, so i have to wait for him to be available, while the other 4 people sit. I was sent to the waiting area. About 10 min pass, Robert walks in, calls my name and says "can I have your keys". I hand them over and he walks out without another word. I wait about 10 min then go to the desk area where he is standing and ask if I am ok to leave... "ok, you're just dropping off?" he asked. Then tells me the shop is backed up and they don't know when they will be able to take a look at it- even though i made an appt, someone called me, and never once was i told be prepared to leave the car for an unknown period of time. I waited about 20 min from the time i walked in till i walked out. All to just hand over my keys. THEN, no update/call about my vehicle until Monday afternoon. The link to check the status only had the arrival "complete." He told me the problems and what was covered with warranty. He said these are other things not covered. I asked the total and he ran down the list, blah,blah,blah, total is $2,6xx.xx plus tax. I said go ahead and fix. Then Tuesday was called to do on an oil change. Called late afternoon Thursday that it was ready for pickup. Friday i pickup, get the bill and it's $4,400. I didn't have the paper that i wrote everything on when he called with prices Monday, so i was assuming he said $3600 and the extra was taxes. I couldn't remember in that moment. But when I got home and looked, i realized i wrote $2600 + tax. After going over the invoice, i noticed that when he quoted the total price i asked for, labor was not included. Imagine how frustrating it was to expect one thing and get and extra $1100 added to your bill. VERY FRUSTRATING! I know i have to pay labor, thats not the issue. But when I asked for a total, I should have got the total for parts & labor. What if all i had in my acct was $3000 and I was using every last penny to fix my car. I am not sure if this is a normal way business is done, but i fell you know how much labor cost to do certain work... like a set amount if all goes as planned. When I ask for a total, I want the total. Or he should have said "plus labor and tax". I may be back in the future for service. But I will not be using Robert as my advisor if i do come back.

I am from New Orleans Louisiana, and have been dealing with Ross downing GMC since 2019 I have purchase two trucks from them since. The service people has always been nice and pleasant and very professional. I was a little disappointed with the parts department when I saw a set of those 22 rims and tires set I wanted to purchase for my 2021 1500 AT4 they wanted to charge me 6,000.00 which I thought was over price I was willing to pay 3600. Which I thought was a fair price with $1000 down and finance the rest but they refused the deal.

Very poor service. Jay lied to me constantly about the parts for my vehicle. After having my truck for a week with no updates. I Was told he couldn’t get parts because the GMC warehouse didn’t have them. I informed Jay to only change the oil and rotate the tires. I called several GMC and Chevrolet dealership in the area to check for the part. EVAP vent valve they all had it. Once I reached the dealership I asked Jay did he not want to work on my vehicle and informed him that all dealerships had the parts he told me GM didn’t have. Jay runs to the back comes back with many excuses. I didn’t bother to ask anymore questions but paid for my vehicle maintenance. I was told he had to go get my vehicle after being told it was ready. Once he came with my truck 15 minutes later my vehicle was very dirty like it was driven through mud covered in heavy dust settlement. I sensed Jay was trying to get a reaction of aggression from me so I got in my vehicle and drove off. My experience was very unprofessional and I felt unwelcome

The dealership was great, however, the amount of time it takes GM to send a code to program a key pad is very slow. It took 2.5 hours to finish a 30 minute job on a scheduled install. This is terribly inefficient.
